Scared? dual-boot my MBP, but I lost Mac OSX? - Ask Ubuntu

it seems made blunder, it's unclear. originally, had standard mbp 2012, , decided dual-booting computer (i.e. mac osx , ubuntu). download ubuntu 16.10 (iso) and, external drive, installed ubuntu 16.10 application unetbootin. actually, i'm bit scared, because i've installed ubuntu 16.10, have no longer access mac osx. when restart mac, don't have choice between mac osx , ubuntu. come each time ubuntu. somehow first choice default? able give bit more explanation? right scared or not?
