boot - problem running ubuntu - Ask Ubuntu


i installed ubuntu 14.04 lts live dvd under windows 7. first time prompt retrieve live dvd did it; computer restarted, displayed no live files found. restarted inserted live dvd again. installation has completed successfully. everytime run ubuntu displays completing ubuntu installation; , runs dvd plugged in though supposed run without dvd. how can solve issue.

are installing onto other drive? if that's case go bios, or boot-menu, , change booting order. should directed grub menu , should show ubuntu , windows, option kernels.

it's sounds not loging in onto session on ubuntu, might because ussing running ubuntu livedisk.

drivers - No wi-fi network after install - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 16:10 on xiaomi air 13 "uncommon device know" i'm not able see wifi connection. problem occurred right after install, since before "during try ubuntu , installation" able see , connect w/out problem. if go settings -> network i'm not able turn on wifi "it switch off turn on". nothing in software , update -> more driver. what should ? :c edit:i able fix metod here wi-fi drivers laptop xiaomi air 13 but can't find programm/app on ubuntu software c. "like geany". problem somehow related fix found ?
