command line - Skype won't install from terminal! - Ask Ubuntu


this question has answer here:

for reason won't let me install skype! looked @ link how install skype in ubuntu 16.04 typed these:

sudo apt update sudo apt install skype 

and got these error messages:

reading package lists... done building dependency tree        reading state information... done e: unable locate package skype 

thank help!

install new version, lot better ancient 4.3 version. not support video calls @ moment (unless both using skype linux alpha), else has been working me.

1. download deb here.

2. double click install it.
