software recommendation - Is there an image and video viewer like on smart phones in Ubuntu? - Ask Ubuntu


i present images , videos 1 folder in ubuntu way 1 familiar smart phones/tablets.

perfect if the gnome image viewer able include videos common formats still image preview/slideshow , play them button-hit or mouse click. idea have images , videos in same slideshow/fullscreen-view in android or ios mediaviewers.

i found slideshow , video application predetermines duration image shown. present next image/video in folder manually (also in fullscreen) , start video-playback manually well.

you can use gthumb. gthumb can view images , play videos directly.

install command

sudo apt install gthumb

take @ project page https://wiki.gnome.org/apps/gthumb
