virtualization - Unable to shutdown - libvirt-guest.sh - Ask Ubuntu

after doing upgrade (via update && apt upgrade) ubuntu doesn't turn off or reboot. every time try turn off or restart it, appears string , i'm forced switch off power key.

libvirt-guest.sh: running guest on default uri: no running guests

after doing research on net couldn't find solution.

when see message, indicating there no running guests, machine shut down. found thread because opposite happening: if still have vm running, host won't shutdown somehow libvirt cannot shutdown running vm('s).

libvirt-guests.sh: waiting guest xxx shut down, 300 seconds left

this never succeeds , i'm forced hard poweroff laptop well..

i've seen hints , launchpad bug reports format of guests list having unexpected newlines in it's output, causing shutdown call fail.

i'm not sure how can you, wanted share this..

kind regards,
