i trying install ubuntu 16.04 on workstation in office. have created usb-image using dd on laptop. after choosing boot device, screen shows different options have (install/try etc..) once choose option, screen goes blank small cursor blinking. so far have tried adding nomodeset switch kernel bootline. results in monitor giving "out of sync" message. with quiet , splash things removed. screen hangs following message: also, workstation has 2 nvidia gtx 1080 cards in it. monitor plugged first 1 using hdmi cable.
