apache2 - phpMyAdmin not loading correctly - Ask Ubuntu

i have made fresh install of ubuntu mate 16.10. i'm setting lamp server local testing (not serving internet).

everything apache , mysql setup, using synaptic, , configuration settings carried on previous experience, seemed go ahead without problem. but, after installing phpmyadmin, when load up, see looks backend code:

broken phpmyadmin

how repair , phpmyadmin load properly?

because seeing php source, indicate php culprit, apache configuration well.

first verify if php installed which php, if returns, we'll make assumption package installed.

next try install, sudo apt install libapache2-mod-php7.0. after installation should automatically enable module in apache , restart. if not, sudo a2enmod php7.0 , test page again.
