Is it safe to install Service Pack 1 update on an already dual booted windows 7 and ubuntu 14.04? - Ask Ubuntu


i wanted install service pack 1 update on dual booted windows 7 , ubuntu 14.04. wanted make sure if doing safe or not? had followed this tutorial perform dual boot. after following tutorial booting directly windows , had use boot repair , grub customizer fix related issues. suggestions must prevent problems might encounter?

as rinzwind says, backup, backup, backup. have ubuntu live-media available reinstall grub (very likely). know sector start/end of every partition on disk (may ease recovery of working filesystem in cases). know packages installed, can recreate system scratch (backup applies files, setting customized system not trivial). assume worst, , ready recovery. maybe absolutely nothing happen grub or partitions/files, maybe grabbed windows , made "recovery" partitions -- ready deal that.

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
