macos - Mac OS X 10.6.2 Install DBD::mysql

i've got mac mini server snow leopard 10.6.2 64bit. i'm trying install perl module dbd::mysql cannot work.

is worth mentioning first time i'm using mac.

i got following installed:

mysql: community server 5.1.42 x86 64bit (installed dmg archive mac os x 10.6 on mysql's website)

perl: 5.10.0 (pretty sure it's 64bit after looking through perl -v)

i'm trying install dbd::mysql through cpan console typing:

sudo cpan

then:

install dbd::mysql

this looks works until gets make stage fails miserably.

i've put output on pastebin. there many errors , have no idea mean.

i've got mysql server comes mac os x server shut off. tried installing perl module on mysql server got same result.

hopefully here can , let me know hat i'm doing wrong.

you need mysql client libraries (and headers) installed. there mac mysql client 'developer' package, need it.
