Setting up an 8 drive raid for home use - hardware configuration? - Super User


i wish build 8x1.5tb file server home use.
looking @ putting these 8 hdds raid 5 or 6. botherboards come 6 sata ports need controller.
have lot of experience building pcs never built raid.
looking through other questions on su have found few raid controllers recommended.
looking price around $600 mark 4 port 3ware raid controller.
4 port sata pcie card around $140.

what wondering is, can buy cheaper pcie card give me more sata ports , run 8 drives in software raid? performance isn't issue, redundancy (i have lot of data).

if 3ware hardware raid controller, still need plug 4 drives motherboard, still benefits 3ware controller offers? need 2 of these controllers?

or should perhaps forget whole thing , prebuilt server dell or hp?

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
