Can't boot from Lubuntu hard drive - Ask Ubuntu


i've been wanting install lubuntu while, , i've had jump through lot of hoops so. first, partition created showed "unusable". did bit of googling , found problem of having more 4 partitions, hp laptop shipped with. ended having recycle recovery (d:) drive computer came lubuntu. however, after installing, computer not see partition, boot menu , windows explorer. formatted ext2, assume windows can't read. shows in disk management blank, no name or drive letter, appears , says has 19.2gb free (the original size of disk). drive show if use "try lubuntu" option when booting usb after installed. how can boot disk?
