xorg - bumblebee: X did not start properly - Ask Ubuntu

bumblebee doesn't work, without giving me clear error message other "x did not start properly".

i post bumblebee.conf if needed, thing changed kerneldriver name of driver-nvidia section nvidia-340, otherwise complain driver.

i tried changing display number :8 :0, no effect.

any clue wrong ?

my optimus system (dell m3800 , intel 4600 + nvidia quadro k1100m) doesn't use bumblebee or primus , don't have either package installed, if recommend remove them with.

sudo apt-get purge bumblebee primus 

i using nvidia drivers ubuntu graphics drivers ppa , nvidia-prime. have no xorg.conf in /etc/x11/.

to add ppa

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get install nvidia-340
