Fresh install of 16.04 LTS extremely slow with ATI ES1000 GPU - Ask Ubuntu


i installed 16.04 on hp dl360 g5. extremely slow. system monitor shows 4 xeon cores running between 35% , 75%. sorting highest processor use top, in processes, shows compiz using 10% 20% of cpu.

the ui (unity desktop) slow. moving window or typing textbox has incredible delay.

how troubleshoot this? ideas what's wrong?

update: i've discovered high cpu usage (35% 75% per core) occurs when when i'm on resources tab. if go processes tab bit, switch resources, can see while away per core processor usage drops near zero.

as per comments, issue turned out op's video card had 64mb of vram, , didn't have hardware 3d acceleration @ all.

unity being 3d desktop environment, absolutely brought gpu knees.

the solution install 2d desktop environment, such lxde.

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
