windows xp - How can I redirect sound coming in from the mic to the speakers output - Super User

i can record sounds using mic, cannot hear voice through speakers. have realtek card (i have acer 1 notebook). have been reading lot of information in web cant make work. missing something? (is not problem of volume or mute).

the windows mixer doesn´t show mic level playback (and cannot enabled).

thanks!

in windows should able open mixer, , ensure mic available (and not muted) playback. muted playback default prevent feedback.

you may have adjust options of mixer show mic's playback volume slider/mute button:

in xp can in windows mixer via options menu.

in vista check control panel-->hardware , sound-->sound-->manage audio devices, go playback tab, select properties. in properties window, pick levels adjust volume , mute mic.
