16.04 - Deleted Network manger trying to install from usb hasn't worked for 2 days - Ask Ubuntu

the title pretty explains it. accidentally deleted network manager , have rebooted system since. thus, no longer in cache folder in /var. other issue cannot wired connection on computer have use usb ethernet , cannot install driver linux.

from i've read have find network-manager.deb , run sudo dpkg -i *.deb install it. issue can't find file or package contains anywhere.

i have downloaded network-manager_1.1.10ubuntu0.16.04.3.debian.tar.xz, , have original usb ubuntu iso , above mentioned file on it. again efforts have been fruitless in finding actual .deb file. there debian folder (nothing in ends in .deb) in folder extracted to, seems nothing in there aids install. , nothing i've found online has helped.

if give me steps remedy or tell me can find network-manager.deb appreciated. also, i'd prefer not having boot live usb if possible, because tried method involving , disastrous least.

go this web page. can directly download .deb file architecture clicking appropriate mustard colored button.
