ssh - fail2ban configured but want to make server more secure - Ask Ubuntu


noticed ssh attempts login server, did research , configured fail2ban server working great, set mail notification user blocked. have noticed quite few notification users blocked, each different ip. sure these automated , not physical user sitting there trying brute force server, question how can make server more secure? have disabled root account , there 1 named account on server using root privileges maintain server. configured ssh keys disabled again because scared lock myself out of server 1 managing it. suggestions appreciated.
