14.04 - Chrome 54 regularly segfaulting during any usage - Ask Ubuntu

this began of 2 days ago, chrome close randomly during regular usage.

i'm running chrome 54.0.2840.71 on ubuntu 14.04.

this running on htpc during streaming on netflix, youtube, philo, etc, chrome close.

when run terminal observe output, chrome hit segfault , stop segfault do. other output terminal regular error calls referencing failed call 'freedesktop.upower.getdisplaydevice', saying "interface "org.freedesktop.upower doesn't exist"

i attempted remove purge , reinstall fresh deb chrome site behavior has continued. noticed still logged chrome when started again perhaps configuration data wasn't removed.

has else been experiencing change in behavior? or possibly experienced in past?

edit: happened again, here's crash output:

edit 2: friend brought point started after installing steam client use in home streaming. not sure if related.

edit 3: reinstalled os , upgraded 16.04. works now, sorry experiencing similar clean install might best bet.

i had similar issue , upgraded 54.0.2840.90 , it's been more 2 hours, no more segmentation fault far good.
