boot - Unable to access "USBname" - Ask Ubuntu


i have usb flash drive used contain kali linux , tried re-format in ubuntu, use other purposes.

suddenly, error screen popped unable access “kali live”. don't know do. error message:

error mounting /dev/sdb2 @ /media/asian_rice_ball/kali live1: command-line `mount -t "iso9660" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=1000,iocharset=utf8,mode=0400,dmode=0500" "/dev/sdb2" "/media/asian_rice_ball/kali live1"' exited non-zero exit status 32: mount: /dev/sdb2 write-protected, mounting read-only mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb2,        missing codepage or helper program, or other error         in cases useful info found in syslog - try        dmesg | tail or so. 

how should proceed?

  1. open gparted: gparted screenshot
  2. select usb stick in upper right-hand corner
  3. choose device menu
  4. choose create new partition table
  5. create new ms-dos partition takes whole space of usb drive.

and should solve problem , if doesn't, usb stick broken: throw away , buy new one.
