16.04 - x11vnc under Ubuntu 16.10 - wrong keyboard mapping when accessing from Windows 7 - Ask Ubuntu


sorry, still quite new-be ubuntu , may not see obvious.

i have installed ubuntu 16.04lts 16.10 scratch on small intel machine german keyboard attached. system language set english, keyboard standard german. when working on system directly normal.

i have installed x11vnc server on box , access windows 7 notebook standard german keyboard using vnc viewer 5.3.2.

the access works, noticed special characters not being submitted correctly. main problems have @ , |.

i have tried setting special options on server side such -xkb, -remap dead,
-add_keysyms, -noadd_keysyms, none solution. 1 of them - forgot after changes - gave me wanted characters, not ! anymore.

edit: tested other vnc clients under windows (vnc viewer 6.0.0, tightvnc viewer 2.8.5) same results. must issue between windows , ubuntu such.

what doing wrong? thanks!

i solved exact same problem ubuntu 16.04lts server connect via vnc using setxkbmap xx. (adjust xx language. in case 'de')

this, resets on reboot need go system > preferences > startup applications , add new startup programm. can choose whatever name , comment. in command section type in setxkbmap xx (again replace xx language code).

the command executed @ startup , set keylayout.

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
