cloud - Using webdav to selective sync Box on Ubuntu - Ask Ubuntu

following various guides, i'm able sync box using webdav. box size large , don't want sync them all.

is possible sync folders using webdav & box?

box's webdav page doesn't seem mention it.

the guide link to, webdavfs2, though near end has reference experimental sync client well. did try that? have tried various ways sync box cloud. boxsync3, sync wine. worked used ubuntu on dual boot laptop , when switching windows sync indexing started on again, regardless of syncing under ubuntu , vice-versa. in end prefer have access files through webdav, mounting remote box.com location. webdav client in nautilus, performs better webdavfs2, purpose.

i used guide link , succeeded in mounting remote box.com location. very-very slow, nautilus or gui file managers - client webdavfs2 caches icons , file information , large cloud storage system crawls till hangs - there plenty of posts on problem. nautilus has webdav client built in! use , much-much faster results (depending on internet connection). access box.com works fast on smart phone android client. here how:

  1. select "connect server" @ bottom of nautilus side bar, or nautilus > files > connect server sidebar screen shot
  2. at window prompting enter webdav location enter davs://dav.box.com:443 (443 port) screenshot of location query window
  3. box prompt user name , password

that's connecting , using cloud files

in order sync need sync client.
