boot - Install from installed OS - Ask Ubuntu

i have usb have installed ubuntu on, not usb installer package. still able install ubuntu on other systems using drive however. problem 'install ubuntu' icon disappears once it's installed somewhere...

is there easy way back? installer?

it depends on definition of "easy":

  1. is there 1 second solution of pointing right executable , presto, it's back?
    sorry, no
  2. can download iso again onto existing partition , boot that?
    sorry, no
  3. can you:

    1. download iso again
    2. burn usb
    3. boot usb in "try ubuntu" mode repartition first usb have enough space contain second usb
    4. boot primary usb , dd second usb onto partition of first usb
    5. add second partition on primary usb grub menu
      well, yes!

but then, might stop @ #3.2. , use 2 usbs: 1 install , 1 use.

and that's easiest solution! ;-)
