virtualbox - vboxdrv: Fatal error in Kernel 4.8 - Ask Ubuntu


why modprobe vboxdrv not resolved yet kernel 4.8?

i have 2 kernels 4.4 , 4.8 , vboxdrv working fine on 4.4 whenever try launch vm fatal error modprobe vboxdrv.

should wait virtualbox update can fixed somehow newest kernel?

edit2: updated kernel 4.8.4 , removed virtualbox dkms reinstall again. still error found. vboxdrv still not found.

edit3: tried reinstall virtualbox dkms no luck. removed , reinstalled virtualbox per here , working fine now.

with oracle's virtual box 5.1 dkms (dynamic kernel management system) no longer used download source code , compile every kernel upgrade.

go install latest virtualbox 5.1 ubuntu 16.04 instructions on:

  • removing old version
  • adding virtualbox sources.list (informs ubuntu find it)
  • adding virtualbox signature key library
  • installing current version of virtualbox

also instead of kernel version 4.8.1 has "dirty cow" security holes (what dirty cow bug?), should use recent kernel version 4.8.4 (as of october 27, 2016) has bug fix.

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
